Buying Dilemma..

I love attending enquiries.. You can keep asking and I can keep replying. serious. regardless of u buying or not. but when u decides not to buy, maybe you can end the reply with a - "Thanks for the assistance, but I have decided not to take the item" and not leave in silent. Because I do not know if I should save it for u or not.
Those who want me to reserve, aren't u glad I have no time frame? I also do not mind that u decided not to take it. But if u do want to take it but need some time to recoup your money to buy, tell me.
Can always blast me a mail saying that " U have found a better item else where, or gone broke, or change of style etc.." or "Gimme 2 more weeks. I need to save another 2 more dollars"
Point is - Get me updater ler...
Because there are other people who may be in dire need to get the particular item to wear for functions, for gifts, to go dating or simply to satisfy their buying impulse..
They need an answer - I got no answer - Can u answer ?
Then, they get frust - I get no answer - can u answer?
It's like making call to a call centre to check on your almost overdue bill, but operator failed to give u details, and u get irritated and ur bill got cut-off.. -__- (hmm... getting more and more irrelevant)
Point is - ur feedback and status is always appreciated
see how it is like a chain?

A Day Made of Murukku and Drapes

ahhh... that blissful Saturday off from work.. and on this auspicious day of the Diwali celebration.. I sold a saree piece to a Chinese girl. The day before I sold another saree piece to a Malay girl.. If there is ever a need to elect a woman Prime MInister, I think I am the best candidate - lah.. the epitome of Muhibah-ism !! =)

your friendly neighbourhood PM in saree blouse and harem pants at your service.
click my Nuffnang please? =D

An then there was the feature on YSK for Diwali!!!  wah!! what a day to feast on muruku, sarees, bollywood movies and machas!! thanks soo much!!  =)

festivities to me ... is just another day off ?  =) being pessimist, I always think that Chinese New Year is the time of the year the kiasu chinese aunties do major spring cleaning and open their door for people to see how grand is their house, and also forcing every guest to have a taste of their 'butter cookies' named A'la Grande- macadamia- bierhaus- watever.. which is made of .. flour and butter .. Raya is a day when all the cows cook themselves in a pot of coconut milk with curry powder and get served and every single ladies in the world who knows how to bake cookies try to take order to supply cookies. Diwali is a day.. in fact one of the very rare day lengas, churidars, sarees and those glittery bling bling accesories from Bommbay Store can make an appearance (of course, the make minor appearance on Indian functions too) without looking too overly glamour.. and of course everyone suddenly derive a crave for murukku and any machis who work in the office and not bring any murukku to ofis for the non Indians will get questions like 'Why no murukku ah?'
and so the point is ... there is no point actually.. hehe.. I am just feeling blessed to have another day off .. and no, I don't hate people or festivities if you feel like I am some world-hater who tries to kill the Ninja Turtles and Power Puff in order to make the world a thunderous and always dark-skied place with people wearing an eye bag and slouching to work =D
I am simply cherishing the day off watching Tamil movies and doing what I love - online rambling!!

Usher in the Diwali with your gergeous saree and impress the machas!!!

Been a while since i sat down and did any proper design ... that very time consuming process. Too caught up with the selling part of the work  :)
IT's a very addictive process.. once u start, u just find it hard to stop..cus when inspiration comes in, u just gotta make sure that all ideas are very quickly drawn on before that nice visual on the head zap off..

Anyway, just to share some pictures of some past shows

That Lil Extra

work that I do not mind providing for you =)

oh.. i miss my saree =(

this is what I envisions my drapes to be upon adoption by new owner soon..

some non related favour for the new owner =)

Yeah.. and so I would like to think that all stuff that is purchased should be made to good use. Shall you see anything that pique your interest in my post but do not know if it's for you, but there's a voice behind u telling u it's soo u!!, ask me further as most of the time I am a bit heavy headed to write a thesis on the items (i know I wont stop once  i start). But of course.. if u ask, i will be glad to assist.
Sometimes I also have some extra sequins, studs, swarovski-like crystals which I dont mind splatter some on your purchases, where relevant  =)

rambles again.....

Looney --- A Flower Just Grew

on your head !! water it please ....   =P

NEW
Bought it from Ochi Poochi Goochi Moochi Soochi Intended to wear it, but thats just how far it goes... in my room only... decided not to wear it for the dinner cus I felt that I looked like a looney.. but of course I don't mean that there is something wrong with the item =)  there's just something wrong with me. Am a person with big action.. so can u imagine a person who talks and have loads of big expression with her hands waving in the air, then have a pretty flower hanging clipped on her hair? Like a LOONEY rite? =P
I am no Taylor Swift who can swift and sway...flowers aint my style.. guns.. probably fits better  =P
Bought at RM8. Comes with a clip of course for you to hang clip it on your head. Alternatively, you can clip it on your deep V plunging maxi dress as a brooch. Just make sure u wont be hugging anyone else its gonna crush ... =)
Only get this if you are purchasing other stuff from here.. Can't be giving u free postage for this rite? That's like making it a free give-away already =P
Reasonably yours for
RM5
(see.. if i give free postage, I have to add in 67 cents cus it cost me rm5.67 to send via poslaju =P)

Warehouse U got There?

People always say, a person's desk reflects the character of that particular person. Don't u think it's true?
I am one who hates home chores, pretty undecisive too sometimes which results in not wanting to dispose off anything and everything, thinking that it may be of use one day. You never know.. those plastic bags from the daily purchase from Giant may be useful one day. Or those empty name card boxes which can be re-used to store many other stuff =P

And this is my desk - very highly organised.. NOT

and the colorful wall panel to offset the disorder on the desk =)

The box with stuff not hung yet? The recent craze !

See the 2 boxes next to the rack? My craze 2 months back

My craze 4 months back - fabrics !!

These are my latest craze. Collecting genuine batik sarungs !! I am not sure what happen, but I actually bought 20 pieces of these. I am sure it's not because of jampi.

It's building up. Must do something. For those of you who loves buying fabrics, do let me know if u need anything in mind. I may have things to let go for you. And yes, I have stacks of genuine batik sarongs to share if u are lazy to go out of the house and get one. And as usual, all my fabrics comes with visuals of what you can do with it. I intended to make corsets with these boho-ish sarung prints =P

Oh.. and in case you are wondering how are the clothings u bought from me are being stored.. this is how ;

For lycra-ish types with rubberised parts on above waist area

Fold it up to de-stress the yarn especially the strap. Hanging too long makes it loses elasticity

Notice the stress crease lines on the chest area? And also that the bottom is longer than the top part, which means it's heavy. These are spandex cotton

Fold it up to again reduce the stress on the fabric. It may be slightly wrinkled, but better than losing elasticity and u may look like a drab the next time u wear it =P
Better still, fold the clothes into 2 and hang the waist part to the hanger. A more balanced approach :)

There you go, no worry that my 'vintage' collection appear like a piece of drab to you =)

See You In That Concert - Again !

yah, I felt like I am goin on a performance tour with this whole ensemble... like.. I am gonna be made up with some trashy make-up and jump off a Harley and yell out some pop-rock or trash rock songs.. :P

haiyah... another word, not my style, not my character :)

that MC harem pants...
that rock ensemble.

(warning: never stand like the pic on the left..look like a serious session of poo-ing)

looks good from the front.. but dont scare ya Ma and Pa when u turn ur back :P

Both the pants and the .. that piece of tie spagheti? blouse? hanky? are NEW. Pants are newly bought. Quality is extremely good.. which is why I am letting go. Seriously. It's of thick cotton- which is of course good as it can last long and doesn't stick to your backside when u stand up after sitting too long. But I prefer thinner material, which of course normally cannot tahan lama ( low thread count wut..) so I don't look too flare and bulky :D To cut short.. I am keeping the lower quality one and letting this better one off :)Will be good for 'slender-er' girls or taller girls, I suppose... so u don't end up looking like a screw-driver.. :) I don't know... somehow i think I looked like one :P

The top have got another long story to it also .. it's all the way from US. Love it soo much... but i ain't gonna leave home withut a push-up bra! And no way it's gonna fit a push-up with that bare back :P I tried stitching a set of cup to it!!! But it doesn't work... Fit for those who have collection of fancy thread-like thin bra strap or silicone bra etc... which I don't have :+(

The title says it all.. from Dubai =)
By the time u reach the 5th picture u may go 'Darn!! What is the problem with this camwhorer? When is the pics gonna end !!!!"
Well, I don't want to post THAT many.. but I did not manage to capture very good pictures.. so I suppose is best to let u view and view and view and view for ur viewing pleasure and good understanding of the view =P

the whole chunk of it =)

yup, its chiffon. printed chiffon to be exact

heavy detailing. very glamour and attention grabbing

close up of motif. the first motif pattern is almost to true color under pendarflour

the pallu - last 1 meter of the saree fabric.

this is the mostest picture ever !!  actually got some more !!  =D but think this is enough. More than enough to get you irritated =P
as usual, this is a 6 meter saree piece. I havent exactly measured, it may be 7 meters also. Got it from Dubai.
Haven't had a chance to wear. And am shifting to my own design and self made, hence most probably it's gonna be left untouched again.
Besides wearing it as a saree.. again, can make into other stuff. The usual would be baju kurung of many styles, sheer tunic, caftan, shawls, sheer kimono long top ... whatever that your tailor can do!! Will be uploading some sketches over the weekend for you to have some ideas.
NEW
Material : Printed georgette chiffon
Meterage :  6-7 meters uncut
Size : from the smallest to the biggest =)
Reasonably yours for
RM80

It Aint Remnants

Patterned fabrics that I bought to make my own sarees. Am letting go because I have extras

Puddle of Fuschia
Meterage available : 2meter
RM 30 for 2 meters.
Added in some bling bling apart from the existing bling. Added in those rather pricey iron on diamond studs sparsely =)
2 meter can make u a short dress, a long skirt or maybe u want to use it as cotton for your 'Oh-So-Hello-Kitty' bedroom. For those who want to make baju kurung, can match it with a black chiffon georgette top and wear a tube inside.
Got no chiffon? Lazy to go out and buy? Fret not, cus I also got =P
I can draw you a few style to make into upon request and it's non chargeable =)

 Smoky Web
Meterage available : 5 meters
RM12 / meter
U can take 2 meters only or 4 meters only. Unless u want to make something superflare like this =P

as usual, I can illustrate few styles for your reference in case u cant visualise.
Smoky is slightly cheaper cus I did not add in the swarovski like diamond studs. It came already with the glittery stuff same as the red piece.

The Formal Office Wear?

What's your attire by the way?

I wear this for my indian classical dance ;)

I wear pareos of this color for serious appointment

I wear pareos too when I do the other scope of my work - to preach / nag / educate / perform?

and I wear this when I need to go to Putrajaya

occasionally I tend to try some competitors fashionable items during exhibition. just to have a feel :P

but I never wear these  =P because it just doesn't represent / reflect what we do
